Comprehensive Evaluation: We conduct a meticulous assessment of critical factors to guarantee optimal functionality and regulatory compliance. This includes scrutinizing the precision of kVp accuracy, mR linear measurements, mA precision, alignment of light and x-ray fields, lubrication levels of anode and cathode, integrity of electrical signals within the High frequency OR single-phase generator, potential tube degradation, and foot pedal wear and tear.

Regulatory Compliance and Addressing Drift Issues: Our PM protocols are designed to ensure compliance with state regulations and address kVp "drift" issues, which can lead to deviations from desired output levels. We meticulously monitor and rectify any discrepancies to maintain consistency and accuracy in X-ray output.

Visual Assessment: Thorough visual inspections are conducted, encompassing all aspects of the X-ray machine, including cables, connectors, control panels, and moving parts. Any indications of deterioration, loose connections, or damage are promptly identified and addressed.

Radiation Safety Verification: We verify the effectiveness of radiation safety measures by assessing the integrity of lead shielding, ensuring appropriate signage, and confirming that emitted radiation levels are within acceptable limits, prioritizing the safety of both patients and staff.

Image Quality Evaluation: Our team evaluates the quality of images produced by the X-ray machine, identifying anomalies such as artifacts or distortions. This may involve testing with phantoms or test objects to ensure consistent and accurate imaging.

Calibration and Alignment: We verify and calibrate the machine's settings and alignment to ensure precise imaging. Collimator adjustments, tube and detector alignment, and confirmation of exposure settings alignment are performed.

Mechanical Components and Electrical Systems: Thorough inspections of mechanical components and electrical systems are conducted, ensuring smooth operation and identifying any abnormalities or potential issues. Electrical connections, power cables, and control panels are examined for functionality and safety.

Software and Firmware Updates: We check for available software or firmware updates provided by the manufacturer, ensuring the X-ray machine is running the latest operating system version. However, we exercise caution and discretion in applying updates, considering specific circumstances and potential impacts on machine performance.
